Uptown Girl Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I recently made. This is Uptown Girl AVA loves to celebrate from Stamping Bella.

I used copics, distress markers, and Momento dual tip markers. I also used the small bow die from
Lil' Inker Designs

Paper Roses

I was watching a few videos on you tube about making paper roses and I found this one: paper roses. It is in spanish-- I don't speak spanish, but it was so well done that I was able to follow along easily.  I love the results!!  So this is the first one I tried

 Then I tried a senond the gold one in the same size. The paper was really thick to beging with so it made it difficult to cut when all folded up so that's why you can see some white jagged edges on the petals. I notice it more on the gold than the red patterned paper, so I'm trying to think of ways to distess the gold rose.

 Next I tried a smaller size.

And I think it's gorgeous!

 I made a medium size rose out of silver as well.

Glitter Ritz Card

Here is a Birthday Card I made up tonight for a friend at work.

I used Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter colors: Black, Java Bean, Copper, Dark Gold, and Peridot.
The paper is from the DCWV Lemon Flower matstack.

Bellarific Friday May 4, 2012

Hello Readers :-)

These are my entries for the May 4,2012 bellarific friday over at Stampingbella's blog.  This weeks challenge was this sketch

FYI it's my first time participating for bellarific friday though I have been a fan of the bella's community for a few months now...so I'm totally jazzed with myself that I made not just one, but TWO entries!!

For this first entry for Bellarific Friday May 4, 2012 I used paper from My Mind's Eye: Lost & Found Two Sunshine (6x6 size) by Jen Allyson and the JaneGirl Stamp designed by Jane Davenport for Stampingbella. I kept the background size 6x6, so that this could just be a piece to display. This is still in progress...I want to give it some bling and maybe a flower....not sure if I'm completely happy with the sentiment framing and placement yet either, but I am loving this piece so far!

For my second entry I started with a white (5.25x5.25) square card from Magenta and used paper from My Mind's Eye: Miss Caroline Dolled Up (6x6 size) by Jen Allyson. The stamp is Ramona and teddy in their balloon (incl sentiment) designed by Amariah Rauscher for Stampingbella. I used Copics and MEMENTO Dual tipped markers to color in the image. This card is so bright and happy and makes me smile every time I see it...I don't think I'm going to be able to give it to anyone unless I make another!
